1. What Pāvila draugi is
Pāvila draugi is the support programme of St. Paul's Church in Riga: anyone can make a one-time donation or support the church every month. The programme is run by the parish, which also receives the donations:

The parish is the only party to these terms. The Pāvila draugi cards are produced on behalf of the parish by Vivaldi Entertainment. Rīgas Mūzikas biedrība and other Pāvila partners offer gestures of gratitude to supporters.
By donating or joining the programme you agree to these terms. How your data is processed is described in the Privacy policy.
2. Donation
A donation is voluntary and given free of any consideration. It is not payment for goods or services.
Donations are used for the programme's current goal as published on the website. The current goal: an architectural study of the causes of the cracks in St. Paul's Church, the first stage of reconstruction.
3. Gratitude
Gratitude is a gesture of thanks from the parish and its partners to supporters, not something given in return for a donation. What it includes may change.
Partner offers (for example ticket discounts or invitations) are provided by the partners themselves, who are responsible for them. The parish tells supporters about these offers and passes on codes or invitations, but is not responsible for how a partner fulfils them.
4. Monthly support amounts and gratitude
Monthly support can be set up by card on the website, from €1 a month. The first payment is taken immediately, the following ones once a month.
- From €1 a month: the Pāvila draugi card, in blue.
- From €5 a month: a sky blue card and the gratitude listed on the Gratitude page.
- From €20 a month: a yellow card and wider gratitude.
- From €50 a month: an orange card and the widest gratitude.
- From €200 a month, or with a special status granted by the parish: a gold card, with gratitude as from €50 a month.
The colour of the card reflects the size of support. The level and colour are set by the chosen amount, excluding any fee cover (section 8).
5. The Pāvila draugi card
The Pāvila draugi card is a digital card for Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. It confirms active participation in the programme and is valid while monthly support continues.
If there is no new successful payment within 40 days of the last successful payment, the card becomes inactive. When payments resume, the same card becomes active again.
6. Cancelling monthly support
Monthly support can be cancelled at any time without giving reasons: in your personal account on the website or, until it is available, by writing to [email protected]. After cancellation no further payments are taken. The card stays active until 40 days have passed since the last successful payment and then becomes inactive.
7. Bank transfer
A bank transfer to the account in section 1 can only be a one-time donation. A transfer does not give supporter status or a Pāvila draugi card.
8. Covering the payment system fee
When paying by card, you may voluntarily tick a box to cover the payment system fee. The box is unticked by default. If you tick it, the payment amount is increased so that after the fee is deducted the parish receives approximately the amount you chose. The whole amount paid is a donation to the parish.
9. Refunds
A donation is not payment for a service, so consumer withdrawal rules do not apply to it. Donations already received are not refunded. If you made a mistake with the amount or changed your mind, write to [email protected] and the parish, as the recipient, will consider the matter.
10. Changes, law and contacts
The current version of these terms is always published on this page; the date of the version is shown at the top. We will notify supporters of material changes by e-mail.
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Latvia. We prefer to resolve disputes by correspondence. If no agreement is reached, the dispute is heard by the courts of the Republic of Latvia.
